Kukri and sheath are painted and ready for action. Now on to painting the security shoulder and then mounting them on one another
Got a few photos back from My friend Carlos who runs a local convention called . Ill be cosplaying this weekend at at the Miami Airport Convention Center. It's free so if any of you south floridians are interested. Also will be filming a commercial for TheHeroHypeCon to help promote their convention. Busy bee 😎
I want to clear something up since I keep getting asked over and over. NO I do NOT use pepakura for my armors. Everything is scratch built, meaning I just look at reference pictures and create the armor by sight according to my body measurements. My helmets are pepped by @demonicxxx , he ships it to me in catdstock form....then I go through the process of of hardening and detailing the helmet. So for those who have asked, lol here's the answer. I think you have so much more freedom when doing a scratch build, you can completely skip the pepakura step and make your armor exactly how you want.
Compiling all my goby pics for the next build. I've seen people do this similar armor that looks amazing but man they dont even nearly get all the details that are shown. Shoot even my last armor.... sure it may not be as seamless as some others but I put WWAAAAAAYYY more detail in my armors that some halo cosplayers dont even bother attempting. Lets see how detailed I can get with this next build 😎
Sooo I thought about it, I thought about it and thought about it some more... I'm not selling my costumes. I love them way too much and afraid they will go to a home where they'll get neglected. SO!! Im keeping them lol. FREE CONVENTION THIS WEEKEND IN MIAMI (Miami Hurricon) BE THERE!!
So eventually i'd like to start my own Halo cosplay group. I've come to terms that I will most likely not be inducted into any other groups, SO!... why not start my own lol. Im in no way trying to compete with anyone or anything like that. Just want to put a group of kickass cosplayers that when we show up at cons, you can hear people in the backround ,"oh crap thats one of the members from Shockwave Studios!" Lol corny but still I think it would be cool. Then we can do charities, community outings and much more stuff. What do you guys think, is this a lame idea or should we go for it?
Well I could be a little happier with the results, it only took me 2 hours to make it from start to finish, so I guess I can't be happier in that regard.
Yup yup thats right. Finally came to a decision on what im gonna do next FINALLY! Sorry guys looks like im gonna stick with Halo again and try my hand in perfecting the craft of Halo armor building. Been doing research for weeks and weeks and weeks now, learning new techniques. ...i think im ready to give it a go.
Great day at UBcon! Ran into some great people I boiled in my suit but I also ran into slenderman...it turns out how no one would predict!!
Finally I'm a member of the 405th Infantry Division! Add me, I'm spartangirl117
Well it ain't much, but it's progress- security and operator shoulders done- now to build a knife, some forearms, and a chest. If only my plastic would show up so I could finish that visor...
Ok so since Andrew Cooks name came up in questiom again I figured id repost this for new followers who don't know. @dafrontlinetrooper is an extremely popular prop builder that has been a huge inspiration in my builds. I fell in love with his Forerunner Vanquish LMG (his own desing) and tried replicating it to the best of my ability. And here's what ended up taking shape 😎 made this almost 2 years ago now and still one of my favorite guns to date 🙌
Didn't realize I still had this pic lol. When I first started building 3 years ago I knew I always wanted an assault rifle. Could never afford to pay someone to make it so I tried my luck on making one myself. Maybe I should attempt a rebuild see how it comes out this time 😎
