HOW TO IMPROVE LEAPS~ • first stretch out ur splits (see previous tips for splits) • take a good preparation (chasse, tambe pas de bourre, etc) • breathe out as u go up • develope ur front leg up and out • battement ur back leg as high as u can • think of doing ur maximum split in the air Hope that helps! HOW TO IMPROVE TURNOUT: • Clam shells- lie on one side and bring your knees in about halfway. keeping your feet together, push the upper leg to a turned out passe and try to turn it out more by using your rotator muscles, u should feel ur butt working after a while. (alternate sides) • Stretch in butterfly, (sitting with feet together and knees going towards the floor) frog, (lie on ur stomach in the butterfly position) and the middle splits. Flexibility in ur hips will help increase turnout. • Dont force ur turnout at the barre by over rotation ur feet- this could lead to a knee injury! Use only the turnout u have and rotate from ur hips. This is much safer and ur turnout will improve. Hope this helps! Please follow @user 🌺
