"What's a Fran?" The Fran is a particularly popular @Crossfit workout, and a benchmark many use to gauge their progress. Kind of like the 100m dash of track or the bench press of weightlifting. Fran, as written, is a couplet of 95-lb barbell thrusters (front squat/push press combo), and pull-ups. The weight can be scaled down if needed. Perform 21 thrusters followed by 21 pull-ups, 15 thrusters followed by 15 pull-ups, and 9 thrusters followed by 9 pull-ups. As fast as humanly possible. Don't think it's a challenge? For our , we realize its hard to find a vacant bench at your local gym. But there is always some empty floor space! So drop down and perform as many push-ups as you can in one minute. You'll be working your shoulders, chest and triceps (just like a bench press), but also your glutes, abdominals and back. Plus you can do them anywhere! Sounds like a win-win to us!
