Two sad Bruins fans walk through the Public Garden after Wednesday night's heartbreaking overtime loss.
This 10-foot bronze statue of Massasoit, chief of the Wampanoag Indians who helped the early Pilgrim settlers in the 1600s survive by sharing techniques for planting, fishing, and hunting, stands at the top of Cole's Hill in Plymouth. To his left at the foot of the hill you can see the portico covering Plymouth Rock, the traditional site for the landing of the Pilgrims. I love how he seems to be forever looking out to sea. (Sorry if I sound like a tour guide, but I just like sharing some of the historical sites of my hometown!)
