My big brother has been in and out of prison since he was like, 15. Growing up he always had my back, plus he always wanted something better for me. He was in a gang, and sometimes he would let me kick it, but even if I had wanted to, wouldn't let me get jumped in. And I never really liked using him to resolve my beefs, but when he heard of stuff, he would be first to go handle it. Ask anyone growing up in our neighborhood, he was respected.// He was at Snake River where he was in the hole for almost a year and a half straight, but now he's at OSP in Salem, and today I got to see him. He'll be in for another five years. Today I got to explain to him, and I told him I would do a post about him, specifically with the hopes of finding someone...you know...under 50 (he's 32)...and uh...maybe a female...to write him a letter. We'd love it if you wrote to him. It's not a commitment thing, and it's not a weird relationship thing or something, he would just appreciate "hearing from someone who isn't lost." It's a practical way for you to show gospel love to a dude who is created in Gods image, but hasn't grasped the One who all was created in and through.
