loischantrelle I've read a few stories about Miss Pearl Bailey but Regardless of what is said i wasnt there so i cant verify. I do know Pearl Bailey was a great talent in her own right and it's no secret that she had a very strong personality and some people were not fond of her due to her politics and personal life. I still think theatrically trained actors are better than one who aren't. Angela Bassett is a far better actress than say Halle Berry. Love them both but truth is truth.

loischantrelle Oan: Halle Berry did do a spectacular job of playing Dorothy Dandridge because she had so much in common with her and felt a connection. I don't think anyone could come close to matching that portrayal on screen.

I don't watch it ever except for when the awards come and it makes me mad most of the times how its people like little Wayne and drake , who get recognized and to me they have no talent. I'll Wayne disrespecting emitt till on his song disgusted me because what happened to that kid was soo tragic . Comparing beating a girls "p**** up" to him getting beaten up eyes gaged out and thrown in a swamp is highly disturbing and he gets no respect from me. I hate bet they are all about sex and not giving credit to those who fought there ways through segregation to get on that screen. I wonder if there is anyway I can bring this point up to them because I want to see them get credited for their achievements . Because of Dorothy and Harry belafonte and many other black talented people these untalented rappers get to be on tv with mixed races talking badly and making millions of dollars
