After seeing a carbon copy image of these in the new Sneaker Freaker issue, I had to go back into the vault and post an unseen image. There's only one "Salmon Toe" CW and this is it.
thomaslindie Fair enough that style of colour blocking had been done before the Salmon Toes but even then, it's one of those where you think of an instant comparison so either our minds are full of shit or concepts had the same inspiration when designing.. Must be boring to just whack a collab up from something that's been done already.. Zzzzzz.
vagrantsneaker @thomaslindie Of course. Everyone copies Hikmet's classic color blocking. It never gets old. Look at Hanon's 'Wildcats' color blocking. That's getting copied too. I guess no one can be mad though. If anything, it's humbling to see other brands copy you. But yeah, how could CNCPTD not know about the Salmon toe. There was way too much buzz around that release. Even if you go back to the NB 1600 Frank designed that got canned, they looked like the Solebox 'thooth paste' pack. Smh I won't even go into the 999 Kennedy's. People think that was CNCPTS idea, when it wasn't. But that's another story for another day. π· Cheers!
thomaslindie Yeah, fair enough, there is only so much you can do with a shoe but you have to factor in materials, colourway, inspiration, details, all that sort of stuff should be of the highest importance in a collab but seems like people just want to be throwing out any old rubbish with their name on it.. π Yeah, could be here for days, haha.

jeffonee If they invite you to do something not GR lol, maybe then the x vs title would be more appropriate. Nice design. I made something similar, just without the crimson. Lucky they asked you, or you might of missed out on some great colours. Best selection to choose from out of the last few options.
vagrantsneaker @jeffonee Doesn't matter if its a GR. It was still a collaborative effort between two parties. At least they recognized me as a fan of Nike iD and what I done with that. Maybe it'll lead to something else on the future.

vagrantsneaker @malthesigh I would never do that. One: I'm not a fan for recording myself and talking on-camera. Just not my thing. Second: What I do with my photos is nothing different then what other photographers study. Third: What makes my work stand out against others is the fact that I have my own style that's constantly evolving and getting better. Four: Showing you what I do in Aperture or Lightroom is something you can find all over YouTube. Five: I would never show my workflow for others to try and mimic. Like @gtfan712 said, a magician never reveals his tricks. I may do a couple of post explaining my thought process behind the images soon, but that's about it.
