In the past I don't think I would have ever gotten up early in the morning to pick food I had grown myself from my own garden, washed and prepared it for breakfast just for myself. I probably would have just eaten an apple, but not now. I've washed all the bugs off this little organic home grown bounty and prepped all my breakfast ingredients for couple of sleepyheads still out cold upstairs. All from my garden ๐ making a true garden salad! Kale, spinach, watercress, spring onion, garlic chives, dill, flat parsley, curly parsley, thyme, radish, beetroot, beetroot leaves & carrot ๐ so exciting to harvest root vegetables!

Lesson learnt. If you are growing carrots, beetroot, or anything that grows in the ground, make sure the ground is really deep. ๐
