No means NO! When I tell people the first 100+ days of my journey was 100% clean with no cheats they look at me as if I was from another planet. I knew that doing a simple diet wouldn't fix my problem. I had a serious compulsion problem,but I didn't realize I had an issue. I just ate without thinking and was never satisfied. So I knew it had to be a drastic change. So I went cold turkey and those thousands of calories I use to eat in junk (approximately 5,000-6,000 calories a DAY) were completely cut out! Yesterday and today I found myself eating out of my regular routine. Foods that are not necessarily bad, but not the cleanest choice and that choice left me unsatisfied and nibbling on unhealthy foods around the office. Why? I have a few Deadlines that are overdue and I am stressed! Is that a reason? NO, unconsciously I used food to help me overcome my stress moment. That's when I felt like the old Nat and had a nice pep talk with myself. Reminded myself how I got to be obese and how I am over coming it. "CUT IT OUT, NO MEANS NO!" Is what I told myself in those 100+ in the beginning of this you say "only one didn't make you obese and only one won't throw away all your hard work." Now I tell you, look an alcoholic, drug and sex addict in the face and tell them that! Tell them "Only one drink, smoke, and one night stand won't hurt you. " who never suffered from sugar addiction or food compulsion will NEVER understand. Just like someone who never suffered from alcoholism, I can't understand why people would want to drink and get drunk, I don't drink and hate the taste of all alcoholic beverages. But only another individual suffering with the same weakness can relate. To me staying sugar free and junk food free 100% was what saved me I am still undergoing a strict healing process! I am not ashamed at all for sharing this weakness! I think that the more we expose it the more we can care for it and heal!
