"Kumica" (country woman) stands proudly at at Dolac Market. The statue commemorates the thousands of women who came to the city every day with baskets of produce from their gardens and farmers. They often came on foot from surrounding villages with a heavy load on their heads. She represents the spirit of Old Zagreb.
